Kenya Morans booked their place in the final of the Nairobi leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series after a stunning second-half comeback against Fiji at the Kasarani Sports Complex on Thursday.
Trailing 17-5 at half-time, the Kenyan side rallied with three unanswered tries in the final ten minutes, sealing a dramatic 24-17 victory in front of a roaring home crowd.
“We never stopped believing,” said team captain after the match. “The crowd lifted us when we needed it most.”
Kenya Morans will face either South Africa or Argentina in Sunday’s final, chasing their first Sevens Series title on home soil.
