Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium, in a match many are calling an early title decider.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring with a curling effort in the 23rd minute, before City levelled through a penalty just before half-time. The decisive moment came in the 81st minute when a substitute headed home the winner to send the home crowd into raptures.

“These are the games that win you titles,” said Arsenal’s manager after the match. “The boys dug deep and showed real belief.”

The result leaves Arsenal three points clear at the top with eight games remaining, while City drop to second.
