Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz has announced his much-anticipated return to Nairobi for a massive concert at Uhuru Gardens, and tickets sold out within 48 hours of going on sale — a record for any East African artist performing in Kenya.

The show, dubbed “Karibu Tena Nairobi”, is set for August 23rd and is expected to draw over 40,000 fans. WCB Wasafi confirmed the event via their official social media channels, sending the internet into a frenzy.

Diamond’s last Nairobi performance in 2023 drew massive crowds despite controversy surrounding his personal life. This time, the Tanzanian superstar is riding high on the success of his latest album Jipanga, which debuted at number one across five East African countries.

“Nairobi has always been home away from home for me,” Diamond told HabariHub exclusively. “The energy there is unmatched. I can’t wait.”

Tickets are available via M-Pesa Paybill and selected Naivas outlets. VIP packages start at KSh 8,500 while regular floor tickets go for KSh 2,000.
